Mar 14th 2016 | Hello. Is It Chocolate You're Looking For?🍬🍬

This month's shipment was a box containing four items. This shipment will likely arrive around mid-April. The contents featured were milk chocolates, dark chocolates, matcha chocolates and an iPhone.

Smart Phone Ramune

My university teacher once told me that kids today don't listen because they're always looking down at their phones. He said some profound stuff too, but I wasn't really paying attention because I was looking down at my phone. I can only imagine the difficulties of life if I could also eat my phone. Well, now I can! These sweet tart cubes are Ramune (Soda) flavor and pressed, reminding me of a lot like Pez. And is it just me or are some of these logos just a little too close to home? Lawwwwwsuit.

Meiji Milk Chocolate Cubie

These are very cool chocolates. They almost feel like marble! The texture is very smooth and the chocolate just melts in your mouth. I really recommend putting these in the fridge for a bit and letting them get really cold. It feels like I'm eating chocolate ice cubes. Also, I don't think I've ever seen chocolate so shiny!

Gaufrette Black Cacao

Gaufrette is just a fancy word for wafer, so imagine these as really fancy KitKats. The dark chocolate taste is sweet and bitter. It's a very adult taste, or so the packaging tells me. Otonano tanoshimi, which is what's on the front can translate to "adult pleasure." That's weird! The chocolate taste high quality, and following the KitKat analogy, the wafers are crispy and light.

Alfort Premium Kyoto Matcha Chocolate

I'm not the biggest fan of matcha (green tea), but even I can taste the nobility oozing off these matcha covere chocolate biscuits. Matcha has a unique taste. It's not exactly bitter, but it definitely tastes adult. To me at least. The dark cacao biscuits have a crispy satisfying crunch. This matcha also happens to be very special because it comes directly from Kyoto.

My vacation has come to an end. Now I have to work a whole two weeks before my next vacation. I know. My life is hard. Regardless, what's new with me? I was getting pretty tired of sitting inside all day. I mean I live in Tokyo, but it's still hard to pull myself away from the PlayStation, so I tried getting into fencing so I could swashbuckle, but my schedule doesn't work with the foreign friendly clubs.

Then I Google "martial arts in Tokyo". Akido, Akido, Akido, Karate, Akido, Karate, Wing Chun, Aki-saaaaay. Wing Chun? Two stations away? Classes every night? Yeah. Three weeks in and I already feel that much closer to being like Ip Man. Actually I feel more like a bruised banana.

Here are some more photos I took at Nipponbashi Street Festa, which is a big yearly cosplay event in Osaka.
