Apr 14th 2015 | Milk and Coke
This month's shipment was a box containing three items. They should arrive to you by May 14th. The contents were pressed yogurt, cola gummies and sweet milk caramels!
Pressed Yogurt
These look a lot like some kind of vitamin supplement, but I assure you they're tasty! Yogurt is a pretty big deal in Japan, especially with girls, and these definitely taste like the real deal. The texture feels a lot like Pez, but the taste is all yogurt.
Cola Hard Gummies
These hard gummies combine a strong sour kick with a sweet cola after taste. I don't recommend eating too many of these at once though, because they're actually quite sour. Then again, I'm a bit of a push-over (ed.'s note: maybe eat some yogurt instead?). And while they're indeed gummies, they're some of the strongest gummies I've ever had the pleasure of eating, making them quite chewy!
Milk Caramel Soft Candy
Now these are some regal looking confectioneries. They practically melt in your mouth, and have a strong caramel and milk flavor. If you want to class it up even more, you can even make your own royal milk tea! Just heat up some milk, add four caramel sticks, stir and enjoy!
Having lived in Japan for four years, I've come to miss American fast food. However, recently many food chains have been popping up in Tokyo like Wendy's and Taco Bell. Normally I'd be ecstatic to get back into my A.M. Taco Bell run habits, but it's really not the same. It's too pricey in Japan, and the allure of U.S. style fast food means that people line up around the block for a chance at buying a taco for 300yen. I guess I'll just have to stick with A.M. ramen runs.
Wait a second. Is that a Cinnabon?
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Had some friends over and we took them to see the Bizan mountain in Tokushima center. The views are fantastic from there!
That same weekend I took part in a competition where you have to attempt to make a complete video game in only 48 hours. The theme of the contest was "an unconventional weapon". You are supposed to make the game somehow relate to that theme. My game is about stopping hordes of pilgrims, deer and salarymen using an army of cats and dogs.
